The simple answer is that not every employer or Human Resources assistant was in the military. Hence he or she will not understand the technical terms or jargon or lingo that you are using. A secondary reason is that even if an employer was in the service, it may have been in another branch or was in the same branch many years ago and job titles and terminology have evolved significantly in the last 10 years, let alone the last 20 or 30 years. In order to get the maximum effect for your military experience you have to present it in a manner understandable by the previously mentioned employers or Human Resources personnel.
